WHO THEY ARE
Midnight Metro is Eric Vanier, River Pathak and Allesandro Rotondi, who have been going strong since May of 2014. They have taken 1st place at the True Reflection's Battle of the Bands, were runners up in Long and McQuade's Battle of the Bands, 2nd and 3rd place at Art in the Park's Music Express, were entertainment at the premier screening of The Birder film in downtown Windsor, and member Allesandro wrote the winning theme song for AM800 The Morning Drive's theme song contest. The band were Regional Finalists in CBC Music's 2015 "Searchlight" contest. They made it from 3,500 submissions all the way down to the final 250. In 2016 the band participated in 89X & D.I.M.E.'s annual Battle of the Bands to headline The Night 89X Stole Christmas.
Their songs have been featured regularly on local radio stations like Mix 96.7, AM800 Hear+Now (Hosted by 93.9 The River's Dan MacDonald), CBC Radio 3, AM800 The Morning Drive, AM580 and CJAM FM and 89X DJ Mark "The Baconator" McKenzie has expressed that he dug the tunes. In the media, they've been featured in The Windsor Star, the front cover of Tecumseh Shoreline, Tilbury Times, Snap'd, and Eyes On Windsor. They've also held a fundraiser for Save African Child Uganda, where they raised over $200 for the local charity.
Aside from that they've performed at The Windsor Star News Café, Sunsplash (three times), Phog Lounge, D.I.M.E. in Detroit, The Hangout, Club Alouette, Milk Coffee Bar, Rack N' Roll, Dominion House, Stoney Point Sportsman's Club, Windsor Beer Exchange, Charly's Bar & Grill numerous times (opening for Destroyer: Canada's Premier KISS Tribute), Tecumseh Coffeehouse, L'essor, and many others. Each individual member has been playing for 10+ years. Their debut album "Where Did The Time Go" was released on May 29 2015. The album charted briefly on CJAM's Top 30 in November 2015. 1,200 copies are currently in print and circulating.
